Rest in Peace - CJ Bau

CJ Bau was a friend, an actor, a husband, a father and much more. He touched people's lives. He will be missed. I met him in the 90's, We acted together in plays at the American Renegade Theatre Company and in a couple of shorts I produced. He was a curmudgeon but always had a smile and a sense of optimism that he shared with others.
He was given a standing ovation at his funeral service today to celebrate his life and to acknowledge his life long passion for acting.
Rest in Peace Brother CJ. You will missed.....

Goodbye My Friend - Cookie

Dedicated to Nilsa "Cookie"..... 1990

Your life was too short. I know you have a special place in heaven. There's a book that's entitled "The Five People You'll Meet in Heaven", Cookie will be one of them. I'll always remember her and what she taught me about appreciating life.



This is line I wrote for a performance called "Goodbye My Friend". I acted out the story of Cookie's life and mine in a play called "Real Life" and also performed it for runaways at Covenant House in Hollywood.

From the play, Cookie speaking to God....."What's with the harp music. Put on some salsa, this is heaven ain't it?......
