I remember a story about someone learning how to drive a racing car. Every time his car approached a turn at high speeds he would look at the wall on his right and his instructor would pull his head in the opposite direction of where he needed to go. His instructor told him "you need to look in the direction you want to go. If you look in the direction of the wall you will hit the wall." A metaphor for life.
